2018 Awards for Planning Excellence
Winner – Improving Planning Processes & Practices
So very proud of being part of the team who won the ACT Planning Institute of Australia award for planning excellence. The award, “Improving Planning Processes and Practices with the Active Living Program”, is the result of a partnership with Karen Wright (Karen Wright Projects), Annie Kentwell (HeartFoundation Australia) and Anne Moroney and Nyah Donaldson of the Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate.
This work will see a healthier Canberra and is a lesson for every other jurisdiction in planning our cities for the health and well-being of the community.
It’s taken 10 years of background and development to become an overnight success! Thanks to Tony Stubbs of the Heart Foundation and Greg Mews of Urban Synergies Group for your early work in setting up the program and setting the platform for this work.
